Membership Information
Who can join the Women’s Active 20-30 Club of Southern Arizona? Membership is open to community-oriented women ages 21-39. While we are a club for women, there is also a Men’s Tucson Active 20-30 Club. To visit their website, click here.
How does one become a member? Prospective members are invited to attend at least 3 general meetings, after which they can begin the membership application process. At this point, potential members are invited to a board meeting with our executive members for a short membership interview. Upon successful completion of these steps, those members will be inducted and will become an official member of our organization. If you’re interested in joining our organization, please visit the Contact Us page to submit your information. Our membership chair, Jessica Chavez, will contact you as soon as possible.
How many members are in the club? We are a part of Active 20-30 International which consists of thousands of members while our local organization currently has 24 members. Our club is considered full at 60 members.
How often do you meet? Meetings are almost always held on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month, with the board members meeting on the first Wednesday of each month. The first meeting is held in our boardroom at University Medical Center and the second meeting is held at a local restaurant where members can eat dinner while discussing the club’s current happenings. Meetings general last 60-90 minutes.
What are the time commitments? We expect our members to attend 50% of all meetings as well as all of our major events.
What are the financial commitments? Since we belong to an international organization, each member pays $90 for national dues every September. Local dues are $185 with half being paid in September and the other half due in February of each year. Payment plans are available to all members who would rather make payments over a period of time instead of all at once.
